Upside Down House supported Kill The King at many gigs. I've got no idea
why. Their music is slightly hippy / indie / singer-songwriter played with
little conviction and quite a deal of nervousness. The complete opposite
of of KtK, in fact. On occassionall songs you can hear where they might
have gone if they'd practised more and taken some valium but the overall
feeling after listening to these stilted performances is "thank
heavens, that's over".
The same can be said to a lesser degree with the M&D live to air.
Debbie had left the band by this stage or, at least, she doesn't sing here
and so the best sounding thing about the band - the dual female vocals -
isn't present. There's lots of mistakes in the playing as well which, when
combined with the sort of pristine, flat recording you'd expect at an FM
radio station, makes for mostly uncomfortable listening.
