BRRR COLD - STUDIO RECORDINGS 23 Mothers At War
24 Turtle Maestros
Live performances from the first three and, amazingly, some studio
recordings from Brrr Cold. The Slugfuckers played
really well and pissed a lot of people off. This was the night is support
for Tsk Tsk Tsk in rockist mode and, apparently, their last ever
performance. Unfortuantely, the sound is pretty
muffled - it was a great venue to be at but sound quality was never it's
selling point. It's also a duplicate of the 2nd part of the other Slugs
recording I have which I'd incorrectly attributed to SideFX.
The Hope... performance is good as well with strong, tight
playing for the majority of songs.
Via Veneto's loose, techno PIL-ish funk
is good only occassionally but when it gels it sounds great.
The Brrr Cold
recordings are wonderfull with tight, fiddly, Henry Cow influenced changes
and Rae's mournfull vocals.
